Littler Hits 30-Title Milestone in Prague
Luke Littler continues to rewrite the sport’s record books, capturing his 30th professional PDC title with victory at the Czech Darts Open last weekend. The 19-year-old’s latest triumph came just 961 days after he won his first senior PDC event, the Bahrain Darts Masters, in January 2024.
The final in Prague saw Littler overcome world champion Luke Humphries, adding another significant European Tour trophy to his collection. It marked his sixth title on the continental circuit, further cementing his position at the top of the game. The sheer pace of his success has seen his trophy cabinet fill at an unprecedented rate in less than three years on the main tour.
Van Gerwen Climbs Rankings as Tour Moves to Antwerp
The Czech Darts Open also had significant implications for the PDC Order of Merit. Michael van Gerwen’s run to the semi-finals saw him earn £10,000, enough to lift him back to sixth in the world rankings ahead of James Wade. The Dutchman defeated Mario Vandenbogaerde, Wessel Nijman and Jonny Clayton en route to his 64th career European Tour semi-final, a welcome return to form for the three-time world champion.
The European Tour continues this weekend with the Flanders Darts Trophy in Antwerp, which runs from Friday 11th to Sunday 13th September. A field of 48 players will compete for a prize fund of £230,000, with £35,000 reserved for the winner. The tournament, won by Dave Chisnall in 2024 and Luke Littler in 2025, is the 13th of 15 events on this year’s schedule.
Littler is currently expected to headline the field alongside Humphries and Van Gerwen, although his participation is not yet fully confirmed. The leading names will once again feature heavily in any darts betting guide for the title in Belgium. Matches will be broadcast on PDC TV, with afternoon sessions starting at 12:00 PM BST and evening sessions at 6:00 PM BST.
